Batzer Designs and Builds New Site for Hot Springs Spas

hot-spring-pl-250-1For 10 years, Hot Springs Spas conducted business from several leased locations. Then, in November 2006, Batzer's Design/Build team put the finishing touches to the firm's new building on Samike Drive in Medford. Hot Springs Spas Owners Elaine and Gordon Kamm moved in late 2006 and have been doing business under their new roof ever since. "Having everything in one place has saved us a lot of running around," says Elaine. "We love the location and feel like we've significantly improved the spa shopping experience for our customers."

Prior to purchasing the land in North Medford, the Kamm's leased a building on Crater Lake Hwy. where they featured their Hot Springs Spas line of products. They also leased a warehouse several miles away. Now, the Kamms own and operate a 10,000 square foot facility, which combines a retail showroom, a warehouse and offices, along with Elaine's own 1,500-square-foot dance studio called Oasis. "I used to have to drive from one business to another. Now, I just walk a few feet into the studio."

Gordon and Elaine chose to work with Batzer based on the contractor's longevity and reputation for quality and innovation. Architect Gary Caperna worked with the Kamms to identify their concerns and design plans that addressed and solved both the creative and practical needs of planning and implementation. According to Elaine, Batzer's Vice President of Business Development, Al Francis, was extremely helpful, as was Carl Tullis and Russ Dodd. "There were a lot of details to handle, but we enjoyed the process. Everyone at Batzer was easy to work with. They were willing to listen to our concerns and took the time to answer our questions and explain things as we went along."

With a high quality line of products, the Kamm's new building allows them to feature 20 different spa settings in their showroom. Customers can get design ideas and decide what suits their needs, from turn-key solutions to custom installations. The facility also allows enough showroom and warehouse space to provide customers with quick access to accessories, spa supplies and other spa-related products. "Our 10 years of hard work have paid off," Elaine says. "Thanks to a collaborative effort, we have a great building."
